Meet the founders.
Murj Founder and CEO, Todd Butka, supported clinics as a Medtronic cardiac device representative. He saw clinicians struggling to check devices with old and inadequate tools that took too much time and effort. Todd observed them flipping between multiple websites, paper charts, and EHR records without really knowing if they had everything they needed.
Having worked in product management at Apple, Todd knew that well-designed technology had the potential to transform the industry. Murj was created with the belief that software can solve device clinic challenges without requiring additional staff.
Reed Gaither, JD, MBA is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Murj. He is responsible for ensuring the operational excellence of Murj business processes and practices, and overseeing the company’s business innovation office and business technology organizations. Reed has over 15 years experience in executive management of sales, marketing, governance, and venture investing of software and healthcare companies.
When it was time to take Murj from dream to reality, Todd knew Reed had the expertise and leadership to help build operations from the ground up.

Chris Irving is Co-Founder and Chief Experience Officer at Murj where he is responsible for leading the product strategy, design and user experience teams. Chris previously served as Creative Director, Ad Platforms at Value Click Media and has over 18 years of UX and user driven design experience.
Patrick worked on software systems for St. Jude Medical in the late 1990s, then spent 15 years building data systems and technical teams for neurostimulation startups. Drawing on these achievements, Patrick led the technology development effort for the Murj platform, with the goal of improving patient care and clinic operations.
